CRYO low temperature service ball valves are designed to operate reliably to temperatures as low as -450ºF. Applications are typically for liquefied gasses such as oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, fluorine, helium and methane. Special manufacturing (cleaning) procedures are used to ensure degreasing before final assembly and testing.
You will notice the elongated bonnet design which reduces heat exchange between the process fluid and environment, positioning the gland packing closer to the ambient temperature zone and thereby protecting it from freezing.
